Octogenarian master of photographic collage, John O'Reilly came to art world success later in life. After his inclusion the 1995 Whitney Biennial at the age of 65, he finally got much deserved recognition for what he had been quietly working on for decades. Trained as a painter, his work often infuses art history and subtle erotica into tableaus that tell a very personal story. John's work is included numerous museums collections, among them the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. The Worcester Art Museum is exhibiting the first retrospective of his 50 year career the summer of 2017.
